Susan Morgan, of Greeneville, has opened Morgan Interiors, an interior design consulting business here.

She has 34 years experience in retail and wholesale design business.

Morgan and her husband, Gary, moved here from Winter Park, Fla., in July 2005.

Since 1991, Morgan has worked with residential builders and their buyers for their new home's interior selections. She also has provided products and services such as blinds, shutters, custom window treatments, wall covering and custom bedding.

In 1999, she started Parkway Design Group in Orlando. In addition to providing interior selection services to custom builders, the business expanded to include selling furniture and doing model home merchandising.

After moving to Tennessee and completing her final contracts with her business, Morgan formed a partnership company with another designer -- P.S. Design Services, LLC -- for the purpose of continuing model home merchandising in Central Florida.

She said, "This kept me busy traveling back and forth to Orlando putting together design packages and furnishing models until the bottom fell out last year for the housing market in Florida."

The focus for Morgan Interiors will be "consulting with homeowners who need direction for redecorating projects ... helping with color and style decisions and shopping with or without the client to make the best purchases."

Morgan is offering a two-hour color and style consultation for $50, which she says will give clients a good start on any remodeling or decorating project.
