Northside, Camp Creek and DeBusk were Greene County Elementary League winners in action around the county Thursday night.

Northside downed Mosheim, Camp Creek beat Nolachuckey and DeBusk stopped Glenwood.

Northside Handles Mosheim

The Northside Chargers continued their winning ways with a 34-13 victory over Mosheim Middle School Thursday night at the North Greene High field.

Mason Early had 178 yds. rushing and D.J. Triplett contributed 57 yds. to the Northside ground attack.

Tanner O'Laughlin passed for 80 yds., all to Mason Early.

Early finished with three touchdowns on the night while Triplett and Ethan Dotson each had one touchdown. Tyler Bailey had two extra point kicks.

David Triantas had 10 tackles and Triplett and Early each had eight tackles for the winning Chargers.

Bears Blank Nolachuckey

The Camp Creek Bears came away with a 20-0 shutout victory over Nolachuckey Thursday night at the South Greene Field.

The Bears were led by the rushing attack of Cody Brobeck, Caleb Reaves, Brett Norton and Tyler Locke. Brobeck and Norton each had rushing touchdowns. The offensive line of Brandon Effler, Zach Reaves, Tyler Locke, Victor Cooper, Jacob Lundy, Jamie Hughes, Kyle Creak and Cody Richards was praised by the coaches for paving the way for the Bears to get 185 yds. rushing.

Brobeck completed one pass for 25 yds. and Norton had two completions for 60 yds. and a 35-yd. touchdown. Brent Colyer led all receivers with two catches for 70 yds. and a score, and Caleb Reaves had one reception for 15 yds. Tyler Locke had an extra point conversion.

Defensively for the Bears, the defensive ends of Locke and Colyer were keys. Locke had seven tackles.

The Bears will host McDonald at the Camp Creek Field next Thursday at 6 p.m.

Dakota Truslow and Brent Farris led the Blazers' defense in tackles on the night as each had seven stops from their defensive end positions. Shane Bledsoe had a good game on both offense and defense for Nolachuckey, according to the coaches. Jonathan Burchnell turned in some nice runs on offense.

Nolachuckey's sixth and seventh graders did a great job on defense during the fourth quarter allowing only one score on a long pass by the Bears, the coaches reported.

Braves Get A Win

The DeBusk Braves captured a 20-6 victory over Glenwood Thursday night on Rebel Hill.

Matthew Nicodemus led the Braves with 140 yds. rushing and a touchdown, Ryan Hale rushed for 66 yds. and a score plus he converted two extra points runs, and Daniel Lowery had 86 yds. on the ground and scored one time

Hale had six tackles and a fumble recovery for DeBusk, while Nicodemus registered three tackles for loss. Manny Alcantara had a pass interception and three tackles, Jonathan Zavaleta had a fumble recovery, and Brandon Ailshie recovered an onside kick. Holden Shelton had six tackles for DeBusk and Colton Arrington also played well on defense.

The DeBusk coaches said that the team was able to overcome an assortment of injuries to post the win. They also praised the play of the Glenwood team, who had only 11 players to start the game and had to play with 10 at one point when a player left for a period of time with an injury.
