(Last modified: 2008-11-13 09:38:24) Source: The Greeneville Sun This Saturday, Brumley's restaurant will host "Passion for Fall Fashion," a luncheon and fashion show in the General Morgan Inn's ballroom. The luncheon will begin at noon, followed at 1 p.m. by a fashion show. Door prizes will be given. The seated luncheon, catered by Brumley's, will feature a limited wine selection by Little Black Dress, a California wine introduced in 2006 for the anniversary of Coco Chanel's original "little black dress." InnStyle Boutique will provide fashions and accessories for the fashion show. The boutique opened in Morgan Square in 2007 and specializes in upscale ladies' clothing and accessories. "The advantage of seeing clothes in a fashion show, as opposed to on a rack, is that you get to see how the clothes look when they move. Better yet, you have a chance to pick up a few fashion tips and tricks from the models and the boutique owner," said Julia Beach, Marketing Director for the General Morgan Inn. For out-of-town guests who decide to stay where they play, The General Morgan Inn is offering a special $89 room rate. 'Getaway Weekend' According to Beach, Saturday's fashion show and luncheon are only part of what the organizers are calling "Girls' Getaway Weekend" in Greeneville. The theatre at Tusculum College will be performing The Wizard of Oz Saturday evening, and will perform a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday. "Every woman who loves fashion started out as a little girl who loved Dorothy's ruby slippers, and we want to make it easy and affordable for our guests to enjoy the fashion show and luncheon during the day, and still escape into the heartfelt fantasy of the Wizard of Oz, " a press release said. Tickets for "Passion for Fall Fashion Show & Luncheon" are on sale and will be available at the door on Saturday. For more information call 787-7502 or 787-1000. Ticket information for the Wizard of Oz is available at 423-798-1620. Copyright © 2009, The Greeneville Sun |
