Casey Coleman was great in the start silencing the Biscuits' bats on just three singles in his six innings. All three games in the series have seen the loser shut out. Coleman (7-3) lowered his team best ERA to 2.80. He allowed three hits with one walk but tallied four strikeouts on the night. Doug Deeds lined a homer with two outs in the third and Tennessee led 3-0. Deeds again helped build the Smokies lead by driving in Jonathan Mota with a bloop single for a 5-0 advantage. Tyler Colvin sent a solo homer to right field making it 6-0 in the eighth. Tennessee is back at Smokies Park for a 6-game home stand starting Sunday. Copyright © 2009, The Greeneville Sun |
