This non-partisan rally is for and by "We the People" to celebrate America and the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness found here by her citizens, said Beverly Reid McFarland, a member of the sponsoring committee. "The planned program will showcase our Republic's unique history and Constitution," she said. Live music will be provided by the group, The Willi. An advertisement in Monday's newspaper stated, under the heading "Who should attend? * "Anyone who is concerned about excess spending and taxation by our national government; * "Anyone who believes that the voice of small-town America needs to be heard; and * "Anyone who wants to grow prosperity instead of debt and disaster for our children."
