Personal involvement coupled with a commitment to excellence insures our readers a fresh, inside look at sports. Sports items should be submitted by 1 p.m. the day before publication for items other than actual game/match results or breaking sports news. The Sun will make an effort to provide same-day publication for game/match results or breaking sports news brought in or called in by 9:30 a.m. weekdays. Each Saturday's issue includes the Outdoor Report, a popular weekly column written by experienced outdoor writer Larry Self, an avid local outdoorsman.
