The Greene County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fire that heavily damaged a mobile home being used for storage at 1045 Blue Springs Road early Saturday, April 12.

A report filed by Sheriff's Sgt. Terry Rader said a neighbor saw smoke and flames coming from the trailer around 2:15 a.m. Saturday and called Greene County 911.

The neighbor told Rader that the owner, Joe Partin, had last been at the trailer around 9 p.m. Friday. Rader's report indicated that, at the time the report was filed, the Sheriff's Department had not been able to contact Partin.

The trailer, according to the report, was used only for storage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
