Angel Food Ministries again will be offering low-cost food boxes at Lighthouse Assembly of God in May to persons interested in saving money on their grocery bills.

There are four food boxes available in May.

The prices listed below include sales tax. Being offered are:

* The regular food box, called "menu," costs $30 and includes the following: bacon-wrapped beef fillet, breaded chicken breast fillets, bone-in pork steaks, Salisbury steak dinner, beef and bean burritos, popcorn chicken, Stouffer's pizza, cauliflower and carrot blend, corn, green beans, onions, pears, Borden shelf-stable milk, breakfast cereal, corn muffin mix, bean soup mix, one dozen eggs and a dessert.

* A seven-pound Grill Box with a chicken breast kabob kit that includes chicken, onions, peppers and skewers, ribeye steaks, pork chops and hamburger steaks costs $20 (Special #1).

* A five-pound Steak Box with New York strip steaks, ribeye steaks and sirloin steaks costs $20 (Special #2).

* A Chicken Combo Box with a whole chicken, chicken tenders, skinless chicken breast, breaded chicken wings and chicken breast nuggets costs $20 (Special #3).

Orders may be placed in the church office of Lighthouse Assembly of God on Mondays, 9 to 5 p.m.; and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 9 to 2 p.m.

Orders may be placed in the church fellowship hall on Saturday, May 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. and Sunday, May 18, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Food stamp cards, or EBTs, are accepted, as are checks and cash. Payment must be received at the church by no later than Sunday, May 18.

May's food boxes will be distributed on Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Buyers are asked to bring their own large boxes to carry out their food.

Unclaimed food will be donated to others if not picked up May 31 at the designated time.

Lighthouse Assembly of God distributes different food boxes, which are offered by Angel Food Ministries, on a monthly basis.
