A Greene County sheriff's deputy on Monday charged a former Missouri man who now resides in Greene County with violating the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry Act.
An arrest warrant filed by Deputy Sheriff Jason Taylor charged Richard Lee Wallace, 51, of Highland Trailer Park, with violating the state law that requires those who are registered as sexual offenders in other states to register in Tennessee when they move here.
The arrest warrant said Wallace, who was a registered sexual offender in Missouri, had lived in Greene County for two weeks without registering with authorities here.
Bond for Wallace was set at $20,000. He was scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on May 7.
