The Ridgerunners Car Club and the Baileyton Area Historical Society are hosting an open car show for antique automobiles, tractors and motorcycles, as well as modern vehicles on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The show is being held at Baileyton Elementary School on the Horton Highway in Baileyton.

All proceeds of the car show will go to help rebuild Baileyton United Methodist Church, which was destroyed by fire on Nov. 27, 2007.

Goody bags will be available to the first 75 registrants. Door prizes, dash plaques and $100 grand prize will also be given away.

The ladies of the church have made cakes and pies for a silent cake/pie auction. A donated quilt will also be auctioned.

Plans also include having Johnny and June Carter Cash immitators to perform from noon until 1 p.m.

The church cookbook, which has recipes from people from all over the country, will be available for purchase during the car show.

Concession items will be available in the school's concession stand inside the gym. For more information, call Roger Moore 234-2632.
