Helen B. Babb, 54, of Blue Springs Parkway, who was injured in a Friday-morning traffic accident on West Andrew Johnson Highway at Twin Barns Road was listed in fair condition this morning at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Babb was injured shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday when the 2008 Chevrolet subcompact she was driving was struck by a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup that pulled from a median crossover point at the Twin Barns Road and W. Andrew Johnson Highway intersection.

Babb was trapped in the wreckage of her heavily damaged car after the collision. Greeneville firefighters and volunteers from the Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad cut the roof from Babb's car to free her.

The driver of the pickup truck, Scott E. Cansler, 31, his child passengers, Austin Cansler and Cody Cansler, as well as Babb's passenger in the Chevrolet subcompact, Harley Babb, suffered what were thought to be minor injuries, according to the accident report.
