Cafe Enterprises, parent company of the Fatz Cafe restaurant chain, has announced that Tammie Gass is now an operating partner of its Greeneville restaurant, located at 3140 East Andrew Johnson Highway.
"The cornerstone of Cafe Enterprises' success is the operating partner program, a unique management structure that attracts and retains stable, experienced managers and promotes pride of ownership for each operating partner," said Richie Cannon, vice president of operations, Cafe Enterprises.
"Tammie is a prime example of who we look for to lead Fatz Cafe restaurants," Cannon said.
Before joining the Fatz Cafe team, Gass was employed for more than 14 years at the former Augustino's Restaurant here.
She said, "At Fatz Cafe, I have found a company that genuinely cares for both its associates and guests. We offer our guests the very best hospitality out there, while providing our associates the opportunity for long-term growth in the restaurant industry."
The first Fatz Cafe opened in a converted fruit shed in Spartanburg, S.C., in November 1988. Cafe Enterprises Inc. was formed to serve as the parent company to the new restaurant and the others that would follow. Headquartered in Taylors, S.C., Cafe Enterprises now owns and operates 43 Fatz Cafe restaurants throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia and employs more than 3,500 associates.
