2 Local Golfers Vying For Women's State Amateur Title

Two Greeneville golfers are participating in the Tennessee Women's State Amateur being played at The Honors Course in Ooltewah.

Caitlyn Fortner is still alive in the second flight. She won her first round match over Jennifer Beres of Franklin 4-2, then won in the quarterfinals Wednesday over Rachel Ingram of Benton 5-4. She will play in the semifinals today.

Kaitlyn Hutcherson is playing in the championship flight. She lost to Ashley Lance of Franklin 2-up in the first round, then was defeated by Stacy Springer of Nashville 6-4 in the championship consolation on Wednesday.
