Chuckey Man Charged With Abusing Patient In His Care
Johnson City police on Friday arrested John H. Britt, 48, of 265 Sugar Bowl Road, Chuckey, and charged him with two counts of willful abuse. A police press release said Britt was arrested after an investigation was conducted into the assault of a mentally challenged patient, who was entrusted to Britt's care. Britt was ordered held in the Washington County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond pending a June 30 initial appearance in Washington County General Sessions Court.
