The 24th annual "East Tennessee Toy Market Show and Sale" will be held in Limestone this Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The show will feature all types of collectibles for display or sale, both new and old.
It will be located in West View Elementary School's air-conditioned gymnasium at 2847 Old State Route 34.
Trains, tractors, machinery, cars, boats, dolls, banks, models, baseball cards, promos, books, parts, and much more will be available for purchase, while some will be on display only. Most toys will be available for purchase.
"We have dealers from five different states coming to display their collectible toys," said Lynn Hall, chairman of the event.
Hall started the fundraiser 24 years ago, which began as a benefit for Washington College. Approximately, 15 years ago proceeds changed from the college to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
Admission is simply by however much someone would like to donate to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire department will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs and snacks throughout the event.
Collectors that wish to sell or display a collectable toy but do not wish to spend all day at the show may stop by and find a vender willing to sell the items on their behalf.
Donations of toys for sale will also be accepted.
The Toy Market Show and Sale is sponsored by the Washington College Ruritan Club and the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department. All proceeds will go to benefit the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
"We need to all help the fire department; we might need their help one day," said Hall. "They are a great department."
