A Greene County grand jury that met at the Greene County Courthouse on Monday, July 28, returned indictments against 41 people on a variety of charges.

Those indicted by the grand jury were:

* Jose Luis Balbuena Cabrera, 33, of Bardstown, Ky., indicted on a charge of attempted rape of a child in November 2003;

* Robert Glen Coker, 29, of 695 Bernard Road, indicted on a charge of statutory rape on Dec. 23, 2007;

* Beau Ryan Gentry, 28, of 785 Gap Creek Road, on charges of DUI, simple possession of Schedule VI drugs, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing a handgun under the influence on June 4, 2005;

* Jim Wilhoit, 72, of 955 Parton Loop, indicted on charges of aggravated assault and criminal trespassing on April 17, 2008;

* Tracy Dale Williams, 61, of 224-C Simpson Street, indicted on charges of attempting to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (morphine) and vandalism over $1,000 to a video camera owned by the Third Judicial District Drug Task Force on June 19, 2007;

* Jeffery Allen Isley, 28, of 620 Lovers Lane, indicted on charges of possessing a Schedule VI controlled substance (268.4 grams of marijuana) and possessing a Schedule II controlled substance (six dihydrocodeinone tablets) on Jan. 29, 2008.

* Mary Yvonne Kennedy, 41, of Morristown, indicted on a charged of attempting to obtain a controlled substance (Lortab tablets) by fraud on March 17, 2008, from the Walgreens on East Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville;

* Whitney D. Shepherd, 29, of Morristown, indicted on charges of DUI, driving on a revoked license, violating the implied consent law, failure to provide evidence of financial responsibility and violating the seatbelt law on Feb. 15, 2008;

* Elizabeth J. Maggiore, 40, of Roanoke, Va., indicted on charges of DUI and violating the implied consent law on Jan. 7, 2008;

* Wilhelm Nelson D. Lyle, 24, of 1835 Old Stage Road, Chuckey, indicted on charges of possessing a controlled substance (25.9 grams of cocaine) with the intent to sell or deliver it and simple possession of 9.4 grams of marijuana on March 15, 2008;

* Charles Edward Herkley, 24, of Chattanooga, indicted on a charge of possessing a controlled substance (0.8 grams of cocaine) with intent to sell or deliver it on Jan. 13, 2008;

* Emily Carol Kinley, 46, of 1576 Horse Creek Park Road, indicted on charges of DUI (5th offense) and violating the implied consent law on Jan. 16, 2008;

* James Carl Elrod, 52, of Jacksboro, Tenn., indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and domestic assault on April 6, 2008;

* William Leslie Bales, 45, of 325 Leonard Street, indicted on charges of violating the motor vehicle habitual offender act and theft over $1,000 on April 5, 2008;

* Jason Lewis Anderson, 36, of Wesley Avenue, indicted on charges of assault and vandalism over $500 on Jan. 4, 2008;

* Paul Anthony Tweed, 49, of 432 S. McKee Street, indicted on a charge of aggravated assault on April 19, 2008;

* Brett Michael Wilkerson, 18, of 118 Birdsong Lane, Mosheim, indicted on charges of reckless endangerment and vandalism with damages of $500 or less on April 21, 2008;

* William Christopher Janosik, 23, of 176 Whitesand Road, indicted on a charge of theft under $500 on April 25, 2008;

* Justin A. Wills, 23, of 378 Pruitt Road North, indicted on a charge of DUI on Feb. 11, 2008;

* Johnny Wesley Helton, 24, of 218-A Ross Boulevard, indicted on a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia on April 16, 2008;

* William David Babb, 35, of 1070 Tyne Gray Road, indicted on charges of driving on a revoked license (sixth offense) on Feb. 22, 2008; criminal attempt to commit theft over $500 on March 7, 2008; DUI, driving on a revoked license, felony evading arrest and reckless endangerment on March 7, 2008;

* Ronnie Ross Foshee, 35, of 5305 Baileyton Road, indicted on charges of DUI (2nd offense), driving on a revoked license (2nd offense) and violating the implied consent law on April 23, 2008;

* Sherri Lynn Gross, 36, 7950 West Andrew Johnson Highway, indicted on a charge of filing a false report;

* Jason L. Gross, 32, of 3405 Blue Springs Parkway, indicted on a charge of resisting arrest by Deputy Kevin Guinn on Jan. 10, 2008;

* Pamela Metcalf, 40, of 1160 Mary Lamons Road, Afton, indicted on a charge of resisting arrest on Oct. 20, 2007;

* Robert Edwin Jones, 67, of Weaverville, N.C., indicted on a charge of possessing a controlled substance (24.7 grams of marijuana) with the intent to sell or deliver it on Jan. 9, 2008;

* Dustin Rae Shelton, 24, of 67 Shanks Park, Afton, indicted on charges of evading arrest on Jan. 30, 2008; aggravated assault on Jan. 24, 2008; leaving the scene of an accident on Jan. 24, 2008; and driving on a suspended license on Jan. 24, 2008;

* Ronnie Jerome Merriweather, 29, of 308 Cherry Street, indicted on charges of possessing a controlled substance (1.2 grams of cocaine base) with the intent to sell or deliver it, possessing drug paraphernalia, simple possession of Schedule IV drugs and simple possession of Schedule VI drugs on Feb. 4, 2008;

* Danny Ray Cutshall, 25, of 132 Old Wilson Hill Road, indicted on a charge of vandalism over $1,000 on April 22, 2008;

* Terry James Lane, 25, of 9325 Kingsport Highway, indicted on a charge of theft under $500 on March 24, 2008;

* Ernest Anthony Horton, 36, of 356 S. Pruitt Road, indicted on a charge of violating the sex offender registration act on Jan. 9, 2008;

* Troy Early, 38, of Wandering Road, Chuckey, indicted on a charge of violating the sex offender registration act on Feb. 29, 2008;

* Charles Gilland, 33, of 112 Prairie Lane, indicted on a charge of violating the sex offender registration act on March 15, 2008;

* Patrick E. Knox, 48, of Knoxville, indicted on a charge of forging a $1,950 check on March 12, 2008;

* Brian S. Dudley, 35, of Knoxville, indicted on charges of forging a $2,800 check on May 13, 2008; and forging a $2,600 check on May 13, 2008;

* Jason Lee Nelson, 25, of 917 Middle Creek Road, indicted on a charge of forging a $350 check on Dec. 1, 2007;

* Phillip Henry Gentry, 39, of 3550 Old Kentucky Road West, indicted on a charge of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card on April 3, 2008;

* Elizabeth Ann Davis, 31, of 4270 107 Cutoff, indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and assault on March 6, 2008;

* William Junior Luttrell, 30, of 1558 White House Road, indicted on a charge of aggravated burglary on March 6, 2008;

* Danny Ray Cutshall, 25, of 132 Old Wilson Hill Road, indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated assault on March 6, 2008; and

* Bruce Charles Chandler, 32, of 194 Midway Circle, Midway, indicted on a charge of theft over $1,000 on April 30 in connection with the theft of a motorized wheelchair and a riding mower.
