Source: The Greeneville Sun A Chuckey man was served at the Greene County
Detention Center on Tuesday with a warrant that charged him with theft over $1,000, but less than
$10,000, in connection with the March theft of tools from a Chuckey contracting
firm. A warrant filed by Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Mike Fincher charged
that Jack Ranier Bitzer, 48, of 70 Davis Lane, Chuckey, with the theft of tools valued at $2,380
from Parkway Contractors on March 27. The tools allegedly were sold to
another man by Bitzer, according to the arrest warrant. Bond for Bitzer
was set at $5,000. He was scheduled to make an initial appearance today in General Sessions Court
today.
