High school seniors and their parents are invited
to financial-aid workshops planned for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Chuckey-Doak High School and
7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, at West Greene High School.
The workshops
will be hosted by Walters State Community College's Financial Aid
Office.
Students planning to attend other colleges are also encouraged to
attend since much of the information will apply to any college.
Door
prizes will be given away, and one student will win a very valuable award at the end of each
program.
The workshops will cover the types of financial aid available
and the financial aid application process. Those attending will learn about the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Tennessee Hope (lottery) Scholarship, state grants, loans and
scholarships.

Office at 1-800-225-4770, ext. 2.
