Nurses' Group Endorses Yokley
The Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA) has endorsed state Rep. Eddie Yokley, D-11th, of Greene County, the incumbent candidate in the Nov. 4 election. "The Tennessee Nurses Association is pleased to endorse Rep. Eddie Yokley. We look forward to continuing to work with him on legislation impacting the nursing profession and health care in our state," said Laura Beth Brown, the TNA's president. Yokley is being challenged in the Nov. 4 election by Dan Ford, a Republican businessman from Newport. Founded in 1905, TNA says it "is the only full-service professional organization for the state's 72,000 registered nurses."
