The Greene County Chapter of the American Red Cross is deploying four disaster volunteers to aid in the recovery from Hurricane Ike.
"These volunteers will be on 15-day assignments in Houston, Texas," Anthony Morrison, the local Red Cross Chapter's executive director, said. "The volunteers are Susie Green, James Norton, Angela Patterson and Lorraine Jennings."
The four volunteers were scheduled to depart Greeneville this morning.
Three of the volunteers will be assigned to warehousing to help deliver supplies to the hardest hit areas, according to Morrison.
The fourth volunteer will be assigned to Red Cross headquarters in Houston to help in computer operations, he added.
