The public is invited to attend an open house on Monday, Nov. 17, at the Takoma Medical Office Building to welcome Drs. Paula Galloway, Daniel Lewis and John Franklin, physicians who recently have joined the local medical community.

The open house will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the facility, at 438 E. Vann Road, across from Greeneville Middle School.

"We invite everyone to join us in welcoming these talented physicians to our medical community," said Carlyle Walton, president and chief executive officer at Takoma Regional Hospital. "We are blessed to have this level of health care right here at home."

Self-guided tours of the facility will be available as part of the open house. Heart-healthy refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.

To encourage good health, several free health screenings will be offered, including take-home ColoCare fecal occult blood tests for the early detection of colorectal cancer, and blood pressure checks. Liv Aid breast self-exam pads also will be given away for easier monthly self checks.
