Chuckey-Doak High School will host the Greene County Thanksgiving Invitational which will be held during Thanksgiving week.
All four Greene County schools will participate in both girls and boys, with action set to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Tourney games will be played on Wednesday, then after taking off Thanksgiving Day, the tourney resumes on Friday and Saturday.
Host Chuckey-Doak gets the tourney going on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 4 p.m. when they take on University High, while the Black Knight boys will take on Providence Academy in the 5:30 p.m. contest. At 7 p.m., the North Greene Lady Huskies will play Cosby, followed at 8:30 p.m. by the Cosby vs. North Greene boys.
Action on Wednesday, Nov. 26, will be played earlier in the day. Games start at 10 a.m. when the South Greene girls take on Morristown East, followed at 11:30 a.m. by the South Greene boys vs. Unaka. The 1 p.m. contest has the West Greene girls taking on Hampton, followed at 2:30 p.m. by the West Greene and Hampton boys.
Loser's bracket games start at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, with the semifinals set that night. The final day on Saturday will start at 10 a.m. and conclude with the championships that evening.
