Ex-Jonesborough Teacher Indicted On Child Porn Charges

A former
Jonesborough Middle School teacher has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Greeneville on child
pornography charges.
A press release issued Wednesday by the U.S.
Attorney's office said Anthony Kent Holcombe, 43, of Jonesborough, was indicted on child pornography
charges on April 15.
The three-count indictment alleges that between Feb.
20, 2007, and Feb. 5, 2009, Holcombe distributed child pornography, received child pornography and
possessed a computer containing an image of child pornography.
A trial
date has been set for June 25. Holcombe was ordered detained pending his
trial.
If convicted, Holcombe faces imprisonment of not less than five
years and not more than 20 years on the first two counts and a maximum term of imprisonment of 10
years on the third count, fines of a maximum of $250,000 on each count and lifetime supervised
release on each count.
