Luis Zamora and David Hawkins have committed to attend Tusculum College and play tennis for the Pioneers announced TC men's coach Tommy Arnett.
Zamora brings an impressive resume with him from his native Santiago, Chile. He is currently the fifth-ranked U18 player in Chile, up two spots from last year's No. 7 national ranking. He earned national champion status at doubles in 2008 and has participated in every National Singles Tournament as a junior player.
Hawkins, a graduate of Heritage Academy in Nashville comes to the Greeneville campus with a wealth of competitive tennis experience. In 2007, he played at No. 1 singles at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia where he earned team MVP honors. In 2008, he was a State finalist in doubles at Ezell Harding Academy in Nashville. In 2009, Hawkins attended the prestigious Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
