MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Tennessee Smokies (2-2, 34-40) blew an early four run lead to Montgomery (2-2, 35-39) and fell 8-4 at Riverwalk Stadium Thursday Night. Cesar Suarez belted a sixth inning two-run homer and the Biscuits never looked back.

Aneury Rodriguez (4-8) had a good showing after watching Tennessee score four runs in the top of the first. He ended up allowing three earned runs on five hits. Rodriguez pitched 6 innings with three walks and six strikeouts.

Hung-Wen Chen (3-6) started for Tennessee but was unable to hold on to the early lead. Chen pitched 5.1 innings allowing five hits and five runs. He also walked two with six strikeouts in the loss.

The Smokies got some early offense in the top of the first inning and took a 4-0 lead before Montgomery had a chance to bat. Tyler Colvin and Ty Wright both had run-scoring hits for Tennessee. The Biscuits aided the Smokies effort by committing two errors.

Brandon Chaves singled with one down and scored on Fernando Cortez's triple. Then Cortez crossed the plate when Cesar Suarez grounded out to third making the score 4-2.

The Biscuits chipped away with a fifth inning run thanks to a RBI single from Pedro Powell.

Suarez then completed the comeback by smacking a two-run homer giving Montgomery a 5-4 lead. The Biscuits added two more runs in the inning and went ahead 7-4.

Tennessee is back at Smokies Park for a 6-game home stand starting Sunday against the Huntsville Stars.
