District Tourneys Continue Tonight

Greeneville National defeated Greeneville American in a 21-19 slugfest on Tuesday night in the 9-10 District Softball Tournament at Hardin Park.

Ondreea Shelton led the Nationals with three doubles. Jada Hensley hit two doubles, and Megan Kirk, Alexis Willett, Kaylee Valentine, Wynter Stills and Tiffany Johnson had a double each.

Greeneville American was led by two triples from Bailey Gregg and a double from Rachel Wykle.

Morristown American won 19-9 over Smoky Mountain, and Rogersville blanked Morristown National 18-0.

Morristown defeated Greeneville 15-2 in the 13-14 tournament. Greeneville got two hits from Kiela Wills.

The tournaments continue tonight. Greeneville National plays Smoky Mountain at 7:45 p.m. at the Old Field in the 9-10 bracket. Greeneville's 13-14s play Jefferson City at 6 p.m. at the New Field followed by Greeneville vs. Smoky Mountain at 8 p.m. in the 15-16 group.
