Greeneville's bowling teams hosted Cherokee Tuesday afternoon at Olympia Lanes and both teams came away with important conference wins (boys 20-7 and girls 21-6).

Greeneville's girls got things started off in a very impressive way taking a 6-2 lead after the first game. Summer Garber rolled a 195 to pace the Lady Devils, while Jennifer Waldroupe followed close behind with a 173. Stephanie Tate would lead the Chiefs with a 183.

The second game saw the home team stretch their lead out to 12-4 with Jennifer Waldroupe rolling a season high 198.

The third game would continue to go Greeneville's way seeing them outscore the Chiefs 6-2 again and roll a match high 858 series. Waldroupe continued the hot hand rolling a 172 to complete her season high 543 series.

The Lady Devils kept pace with Chuckey-Doak atop the conference standings at 5-1, while the Lady Chiefs fall to 5-5.

Greeneville and Cherokee's boys split the three individual points in the first game, but the Greene Devils would hold a 5-3 advantage, by only 25 pins (905-880). Justin Miller (175) and Michael Knapp (171) would lead Greeneville, while Jason Williams paced Cherokee.

Greeneville would pull away in the second and third games by taking six points in each of the games to Cherokee's four. Justin Miller rolled a season high 232, while Dylan Walsh chipped in with games of 195 and 181, followed by Ethan Jones at 187.

Greeneville runs its record to 6-0 and continues to lead the conference, while Cherokee falls to 4-6.

Greeneville will travel to Kingsport to take on Dobyns-Bennett this afternoon at 4:00.
