North Greene's basketball teams opened the season Tuesday with a pair of Hall of Fame games, beating visiting Washburn in both girls and boys action.
The Lady Huskies blew the game apart in the opening quarter and cruised to a 67-20 win.
North Greene's boys shot the ball well and rolled past the Pirates 75-45. The Huskies led by 36-25 at halftime, then put the game away with a 21-5 scoring run in the third period.
Dylan Payne, Drew Lady and Andrew Tucker all scored in double figures for the Huskies with 20, 15 and 12 points respectively. J.D. Dunn with 15 and Steven Hoskins with 12 led Washburn.
In the girls' game, North Greene outscored Washburn 33-0 in the first quarter.
Mariah Britton led the Lady Huskies with 19 points.
North Greene also won in JV girls' action, taking a 57-34 victory led by nine points from Breanna Morrow.
North Greene has another Hall of Fame doubleheader Friday night at home to Hancock County.
