Forty-one people were indicted Monday by the Greene County Grand Jury for various offenses including burglary, assault, forged checks and driving under the influence.

Those indicted were notified to appear for arraignment on Monday, Nov. 30, in Greene County Criminal Court, said Circuit Court Clerk Gail Davis Jeffers, who also serves criminal court.

Jeffers said Criminal Court Judge John Dugger will appoint attorneys, if needed, or set court dates for those indicted.

Those indicted:

* Paul Bryan Thornton, 36, of 1695 Shelton Mission Road, was indicted on charges of promotion of methamphetamine manufacture in connection with a June 4 incident.

Court records indicate that Thornton "permitted a person to use a structure he owned" for the manufacture of meth.

* James Allen Ornouski, 45, of 66 Bainey Broyles Road, was indicted on charges of burglary and aggravated burglary in a Dec. 26, 2008, incident.
