Published: 3:49 PM, 04/28/2011

[Ed. Note: WIKQ has now resumed broadcasts.] Fatal storms that pulled through Greene County, Apr. 27-28, 2011, toppled the WIKQ-FM tower on Fish Pond Road, Chuckey. Winds also knocked down the adjacent cinderblock tower building. Station officials expect to resume broadcasting on Apr. 29. Sister stations, WGRV-AM and WSMG-AM, were not affected.
