Dove and Grammy-winning recording artist David Phelps will bring the sounds of the season to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Dec. 2.
Show time is 7:30 p.m.
The Greeneville concert is one of 15 stops that Phelps is making this December on his “It Must Be Christmas 20th Anniversary Tour,” event organizers say in a news release.
“Many of the songs featured during this exciting evening are included on Phelps’ ‘It Must Be Christmas’ recording, released this fall,” the release says.
“The evening will also include exciting renditions of classics like ‘Angels We Have Heard On High,’ ‘Go Tell It On The Mountain’ and ‘Sleigh Bells,’ along with Phelps’ new classics like ‘Fall On Your Knees,’ ‘Christmas Rush’ and ‘Anthem of the Lord,’” the release adds.
A native of Tomball, Texas, Phelps earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Baylor University and went on to join the award-winning Gaither Vocal Band and become a leading voice in contemporary Christian music.
During his two-decade career, Phelps has performed at numerous prestigious venues across the globe, including the White House, New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
Tickets to his upcoming NPAC show are $40 orchestra level seating, $35 mezzanine level seating and $30 balcony level seating.
