Members of the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department and the Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad used rescue boats, ropes and pulleys to train for water rescue. The training, conducted on Monday, July 20, also helped prepare the departments to collaborate during an actual emergency.

“It’s familiarization with people and working together and knowing what each other’s capabilities will be,” rescue squad Capt. Kevin “Bucky” Ayers said.
