Greene Countians of all ages came together Sunday afternoon, filling the sidewalks along Main Street to enjoy the annual Greeneville Christmas parade.

Around 180 entries wound along the parade route for the parade, filling downtown with the sights and sounds of Christmas under bright, sunny skies that warmed the December air to near 60 degrees.

“Songs of the Season” was the theme for this year’s parade, coordinated by the Greene County Partnership and Exchange Club of Greeneville, and that theme echoed throughout the parade with Christmas favorites played by school marching bands as well as from floats echoing the them in design and music.

“The annual Greeneville Christmas Parade was a wonderful success,” said Joni Parker, general manager of the Greene County Partnership. “A record number of entries, over 175, filled Main Street showcasing our community businesses, civic clubs, nonprofits, schools and more.
