William L. Davis, 28, of 1430 Delta Valley Road, was charged early Tuesday by Greeneville police with criminal trespass. Police were called to Takoma Regional Hospital about a man who refused to leave the waiting room, Officer Ethan Metcalf said in a report. Davis was on the phone and refused an officer’s request to leave the hospital, telling him “that he would go to jail” instead, the report said. Police took him into custody. Bond for Davis was set at $1,000 pending a first scheduled appearance Wednesday in court.
Lujack M. McKinney, 26, of 2644 Blue Springs Parkway, was charged Tuesday afternoon by sheriff’s deputies with domestic assault. McKinney was determined to be the primary aggressor, Deputy Ben Stewart said in a report. The victim had visible injuries, the report said. She told deputies that Lujack would not let her leave the house. McKinney was held on no bond pending a first scheduled appearance on Wednesday in court.
Barn wood was stolen Tuesday morning from a Click Road property, sheriff’s Deputy Thomas Culler said in a report. A witness told deputies a person in a white Ford pickup truck was seen loading up the wood about 9 a.m. Tuesday. The lumber is valued at $10,000.
An insurance company check for $3,312 was stolen from a woman on Nov. 20 when she was given a ride into Greeneville, sheriff’s Deputy Joseph McNulty said in a report. The victim said she had the check when she was given the ride and discovered it missing when she got home. The check was later cashed in Greeneville, the report said. The theft was reported Tuesday. Suspects were identified. The victim is attempting to get video footage from the business where the check was cashed, the report said.
