A fire Sunday night destroyed three outbuildings and damaged the siding of a house at 1945 Sentelle Road, sheriff's Deputy David Love said in a report.

When deputies arrived about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, "one large outbuilding and two small outbuildings and their contents were totally destroyed by fire," the report said.

The side of a house facing the outbuildings sustained heavy heat damage from the fire, the report said.

An outdoor wood-burning heat unit was also heavily damaged "and was thought to be the cause of the fire, with heavy winds in the area possibly blowing embers in or onto the outbuildings," the report said.

The outbuildings were in close proximity to one another, the report added.

In addition to the Sheriff's Department, responding to the fire were members of the Camp Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Department.

The owner is listed in the report as Mark Ricker.

A damage estimate is pending.
