It may be deer hunting season, but a Greeneville man was charged Wednesday after he tried to hunt in the wrong area using an unlawful method.
Dylan Ray Seay, 21, 800 Red Hill Road, was charged with hunting from a motor vehicle and spotlight, according to warrants filed by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the warrants, deputies responded at 9:44 p.m. to a report of trespassing and spotlighting deer at the University of Tennessee Agriculture Experiment Station.
When they arrived, they found Seay had been stopped by the farm manager, who told the authorities that he saw Seay in one of the fields shining a spotlight from his vehicle. Seay admitted that he had done so, according to the warrants.
He will appear in General Sessions Court Dec. 7.
