Twenty hemp plants valued a $21,000 were stolen between Monday night and Wednesday night from a field on Reaves Mill Road.
The victim told deputies someone had also put mud in his water pump, which was working Monday. He discovered the plants missing Thursday afternoon when he arrived to tend to them, sheriff’s Deputy Saul Mancha said in a report.
A man the victim spoke with told him that he saw a black Oldsmobile parked near his property Wednesday night.
The water pump is valued at $200.
