Sewer Rehab Continues

Following the Independence Day holiday, work resumed on a sewer rehabilitation project along Tusculum Boulevard on Tuesday, rounding the corner near Walters State Community College, approaching North Main Street. Construction of two remaining sections of the sewer system, replacing a 100-year-old line, should be complete in another two to three weeks, Greeneville Water Department Engineer Eric Frye said. Traffic has been rerouted at the corner of Grove Street and Tusculum Boulevard, and vehicles are not permitted to turn right onto Tusculum Boulevard from Main Street or North College Street. The public is encouraged to use Grove Street as a detour.
