Anthony Leon “Tony” Hall, 63, died peacefully Sunday surrounded by family.

He was the fifth child of Ruth E. Hall and the late Daniel R. Hall Sr.

He worked for the contractor who built the American Greetings/Plus Mark Co. located on American Way, then began a more than 40-year career with Plus Mark until his health would no longer allow.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Daniel R. Hall Jr.; his aunt: Mary Olivia Payne; cousin: Cathy “Kitty” Tyson; and his grandparents: Walter P. and Rosa Estella Wagner, Monnie Flack Wagner and Hannah F. Crum.

He is survived by his children: Antwan Jeremiah Hall, of Knoxville, and Jarian A.J. Hamler and Trevar Deion Wright, of Greeneville; siblings: William. “Eddie” Hall, Amy L. Hall, Mary E. Hall, Ada Hall Jackson, Walter F. Hall, George F. Hall, Roberta K. Hall, Robert A. Hall Sr., John Brent Hall, Phillip P. Hall and Kenneth Blakley; special friends: Teresa Wright and Ms. Norma Jean Bowers; five grandchildren; 31 nieces and nephews; more than 35 great-nieces and great-nephews; his cousins; and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. C.C. Mills Jr. officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be George F. Hall, Jeremy “Fess” Hall, Ricky Smith, Jesse Barner, Calvin Beard and Rodney Merriweather.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
