Christopher Kai Jaxon Willis, 3-month-old son of Daniel and Breanna Willis, his family’s ray of sunshine, went to rest in Jesus’ arms Saturday.
Survivors in addition to his parents include one brother: Aaron Hensley, of the home; his loving grandparents: Daiwouna Garland and Keith “Beef” Painter, and Sammie and Amy Willis; great-grandparents: Moss and Jan Bullard, and Wayne and Bettie Hensley; uncles and aunts: Thomas and Amy Willis, Samantha and Lacy Dean, Jeremy and Tracey Babb, Alyssa and David Dupler, and Zachary Garland; great-aunts and great-uncles: Mark and Jo McLain, Frankie and Elly Smith, Tommy Bullard, David Bullard, and Earl and Geneva Bullard; special great-aunts: Mary Shelton, Dyan Broyles, Lisa Fowler and Liz Gangne; several cousins, including his special cousin Noah Shelton; and his buddy: Charlie Dean.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Barbara Bullard, Fannie Bullard, Eudema and Wilbur Grooms, and Sammy Willis; his great-great-grandparents: Jessie and Bert Hensley; and a cousin: Natalie Dean.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. John McPheron officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandfather Sammie Willis, Alan Lane and Chase Ivey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Shelton, Zachary Garland and Charlie Dean.
