Donald B. Jennings, 71, of the Greystone community, died Wednesday at his home.
He retired from the Greeneville Fire Department after 37 years of service.
Survivors include one son: Brent Jennings; one daughter: Danielle “Dandy” Jennings; two grandchildren: Cayden Phillips and Maura Phillips; his former wife and mother of his children: Kathy Jennings; two sisters and one brother: Genevieve “Gete” Harrison, Reed Jennings and his wife, Wanda, and Frankie Cutshall and her husband, Lonnie; several special nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors; and a friend of his son, who helped take care of him and loved him like a father: Ashley Tweed.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Don and Mary Jennings; and siblings: Rex Jennings and Shirley Lawing.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in Doughty-Stevens Chapel with Owen Freeman officiating.
The Greeneville Fire Department will conduct a Bell Ceremony following the service.
