Dorothy Wills Douthat, 82, of Mohawk, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday morning.

Mrs. Douthat retired from Hurd Manufacturing.

She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for several years.

She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing and quilting.

Survivors include three children and their spouses: Cindi and Kenneth Payne, Charles W. Douthat Jr. and Karen Douthat, and Dan and Jennifer Douthat; a stepson and his wife: David and Ruby Douthat; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: J.B. and Marlene Wills, and Gary and Peggy Wills; four sisters and one brother-in-law: Imogene Harrison, Sue Hogan, Carolyn and Leonard Rhea, and Barbara Wills; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Wayne Douthat; a stepdaughter: Cindy Manis; her parents: Charlie and Lucy Wills; and brothers and sisters: Jenny Wine, McKinley Wills, Olgie Southerland, LaVina Sauceman, Charles Wills, Naomi Wills, Lois Smith and Clifford Wills.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. July 8 at Fairview Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Richard Long and the Rev. Travis Henderson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Douthat, Charles Douthat III, Alex Frye, Ethan Frye, Scottie Griffith, Travis Payne, Christopher Wallace and Josh Wallace.

The family expressed a special thanks to J.B. Wills and Robin Booher during this time.
