Helen Maude Keebler, 100, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away Saturday.

Helen was born March 14, 1919, in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was an astounding, hard worker, wife, mother and friend, who was always jovial, living her values and principals, including her religious values and commandments. Hard working with an appreciation for education, she helped run and manage an antique/needlepoint shop in Louisville. She will be remembered for being a faithful and loving wife and mother who obeyed God’s Laws.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Francis “Joe” Clyde Keebler; a sister: Dorothy (Jack) Yager; her parents: John L “Jack: Yager and Mamie Moore Yager; and brothers: Ralph Yager and Lewis Yager.

Survivors include her son: Dr. John S. Keebler, of Mobile; granddaughter: Mary Helen Keebler Katz; and a great-grandson: Billy Katz, both of Houston, Texas; nieces: Tina Tipton, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Sissy Monacan and Liz Adams, both of LaGrange, Kentucky, Tina Tipton, of Shelbyville, and Sara Sue Yager, of Ft. Myers, Florida; and a nephew: Dr. John Yager, of Mobile.

Visitation for Helen will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton chapel.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Jeffers Afton Chapel with the Rev. Donna Waddle officiating.

Burial will follow at Urbana Cemetery.
