Joan Williamson, 69, of Greeneville, passed away Monday.
She is survived by her brothers: Ivan (Jane) Williamson and Bernie (Connie) Williamson; nieces: Michelle (Tom) DeLong and Deanne (Brian) Jenkins; nephews: Eric (Brisa) Williamson, and Adam Williamson and his daughter, Faith; a stepnephew: Bruce (Amy) Hartman; great-nephews: James Cannon and Caleb Jenkins; great-nieces: Courtney Brackins, Megan Jenkins, Mariah Saveedra, Faith Williamson and Brianna Garcia; and a great-great-niece: Arianna Conorway.
She was preceded in death by her father: Robert Williamson; her mother: Beatrice Feezell Williamson; and brothers: Coy Keith and Calvin Williamson.
Joan never met a stranger. She was a member of Open Door Tabernacle Church, loved children and brought candy to them every Sunday at church.
Joan had many special cousins and friends. She also had very special dogs: Rudy, Murphy, and EllieMae; and a cat: Dexter.
She worked at Magnavox for 35 years and Huff for eight years.
The family expressed a special thanks to Dr. Chakradhar Reddy with Gastrointestinal Associates of Northeast TN, Dr. Barnabas Hine with SOFHA, Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice staff, including nurses Suzi, RN, Melissa, RN, Carie, RN, and Hannah, CNA, Chaplain Mike Driver, and to Angela Montiford, who provided Joan’s pedicures the last 5 years.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton chapel. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in Jeffers Afton Chapel with Dr. John Burgess and the Rev. Mikel Hensley officiating. Music vocals will be by Dr. John Owston.
There will be a private graveside service at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
