Kitty Vest Neece, 74, of Jonesborough, passed away Saturday at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband: Jim Neece; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Leslie Vest, of Johnson City, Renee and Jeff Smith, of Greeneville, Angie and Mike Blaylock, of Chuckey, and Vicki and Tim Tweed, of Limestone; one son and daughter-in-law: Jamie and Jaime Vest; stepson: Brian Neece; 14 grandchildren: Brittney Brown, Ashley Kinley, Cody Smith, Elizabeth Gray, Gracie Blaylock, Shannon Smelcer, Weston Vest, Kaylee Vest, Dalton Vest, Tori Tweed, Marlee Tweed, Taylor Neece, Cadie Neece and Emily Neece; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Vest; her parents: Paul and Naomi Humphries; a stepson: Brandon Neece; and a sister: Linda Decker.
Kitty’s family was her life.
She was a member of Telford United Methodist Church. She had a strong faith and loved the Lord.
Kitty loved going to the beach and Gatlinburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in Jeffers Downtown Chapel.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 10 a.m. to go in procession to Philadelphia Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Mark Cutshall, Perry Cutshall, Tim Tweed, Jeff Smith, Aaron Eatmon and Travis Moore.
Honorary pallbearers are Alan Corley, Gary Davis, and the doctors and staff of Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
