Ervin D. Cutshall, 75, of Decatur Street, died Thursday (May 29, 2003) in Greeneville due to complications from cancer.
Mr. Cutshall was a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the United States, Japan, Libya, and Thailand.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post #1990, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.
He was the widower of Dorothy Willett Cutshall, his wife of 48 years.
Survivors include his daughter: Deborah Cutshall, and his son: Brian Cutshall, both of Greeneville; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Loid Cutshall and Ramsey and Charlene Cutshall, all of Greeneville; four sisters and a brother-in-law: Josephine and Carl Lunghofer, Rena Ayers, Clayfene Mitchell and Nadine Ricker, all of Greeneville; a special aunt: Carrilea Cutshall of Greeneville; his mother-in-law: Louise Willett of Greeneville; a bother-in-law and sister-in-law: Roy and Mary Evelyn Willett of Luttrell; several nieces and nephews; and a number friends including special friends: Mike and Vana Morelock of Greeneville.
He was a son of the late Rev. Cicero and Eula Stills Cutshall and was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Cutshall and Lillard Cutshall.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:45 p.m. today at Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Fay Lynn Ricker will officiate.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 Saturday morning to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for military rites and the committal service at 11 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Cutshall, Kenneth Lunghofer, Rickey Mitchell, Mike Morelock, Chris Ricker, Roy Wise, and Craig Odum.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Laughlin Healthcare Center.
