On Monday, Martha Ann Cruey Solomon, wife, mother, sister and friend passed away at the age of 65 after a brief illness.

Martha will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years: Hal; her daughters: Joanie (Solomon), Robbie Rigney, Lesley Solomon and Joe Storm; and her grandchildren: Abby and Eli Case.

Martha will be fondly remembered by her sisters: Vonda Robinette and Jeanette Cruey; several nieces and nephews; her dear friend and sister in life: Suzy Hartman; and her beloved poodle: Scooby.

She was preceded in death by her grandson: Steven Wesley Case; her mother and father: James and Dorothy Cruey; her sisters: Stella Shipley and Peggy Robinette; her brother Charles Cruey; and her mother-in-law, whom she loved very much: Ellen “Bea” Solomon.

Martha was loved by many and known for her bright, beautiful smile that always reached her blue eyes. She loved being outdoors, thrift/antique shopping, gardening and spending time with family.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Jeffers Funeral Service in downtown Greeneville. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Richard Long and the Rev. Matt Shelton will officiate. Interment will follow at McMillan Freewill Baptist Church in Midway.

Pallbearers will be Eli Case, Chris Ricker, Glenn Robinette, Mike Roberts, Vance Pierce and Alan Draughn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Robinette, Donnie Shipley, Ricky Shipley David “Red” Cutshaw and Ronnie Kinser.
