Marty R. Holt, 55, of Summey Reynolds Park, Greeneville, passed away at Holston Valley Medical Center on Friday.
He is survived by his son: Timothy Holt, of Texas; his mother and stepfather, with whom he made his home: Martha and Danny Summey; his father: the Rev. Jerry Holt; two brothers: Harold (April) Lamb and Randy (Jannifer) Holt; two sisters: Tammy (Ken) Raber and Christy (Terry) Casteel; stepchildren: Joseph and Chasity Metcalf, and Timothy and Chasity Helton; grandchildren: Brooklyn Metcalf, Abby Helton, Sarah Metcalf and Amelia Metcalf; four aunts: Lynda Setser, Mary (Bill) Conduff, Janie (Dale) Fincher and Doris Holt; two nieces; three nephews; and one special great-niece: Ava Smith.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother: Edna Holt; uncles: Willie Setser and the Rev. Richard Holt; and his grandparents: Dick and Stella Jones, and Blaine and Brownie Holt.
Marty loved to ride his motorcycle with his friends. He was a very special person and was loved by everyone who knew him. With a strong personality, Marty stood out in a crowd as a strong yet caring man.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Holt officiating.
Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Brad Setser, Tim Helton, Mike Ferguson, Harold Lamb, Robert Reed, Mickey Franklin, Terry Casteel and Billy Banner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Holt and Eugene Piscitelli.
