NORMAN TRUETT STONECYPHER

JONESBOROUGH — Norman Truett Stonecypher, 90, of Limestone, passed away Monday at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Stonecypher was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Waynesburg, Kentucky, and was a son of the late Maynard Roscoe and Gertrude Helen Claunch Stonecypher.

He was veteran of the U.S. Army, having served with the Military Police.

He was a 50-year member of Arcana Lodge No. 489, F&AM.

Mr. Stonecypher retired from Magnavox.

Other members of his family, also deceased, include his brother, Ben Stonecypher.

Survivors include his wife: Sylvia Browning Stonecypher, of Limestone; a daughter and son-in-law: Heather S. and Rick Hawkins; grandchildren: Brendan T. Hawkins and Kaitlyn S. Hawkins; a sister: Janet Pauline Stonecypher; a sister-in-law: Wilda Stonecypher; and nieces and nephews; Helen (Eddie) Martin, Ben (Alice) Stonecypher, Rebecca (Mark) Mitchell and Ricky Stonecypher.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Donna Waddle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.

Interment services will follow at Urbana Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Archer, Jeff Williams, Thomas Dotson, Randy Blevins, Benny Stonecypher and Eddie Martin.
