Randy Scott Johnson, 60, of the Cedar Hill community, passed away Monday morning at his home.
He retired from Air Maze-Donaldson after more than 30 years of service.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid NASCAR fan. One of Randy’s favorite things was playing and wrestling with his grandchildren.
He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years: Tammy Johnson; his mother: Elmina Johnson; a daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Marcus Schofield; very special granddaughters: Ryleigh and Bayler Schofield; a sister: Ginger Lee Johnson, of Johnson City; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mike and Janet Cutshall, and Jamey Sizemore; two special nieces: Andrea Dean Bratton and Jacey Sizemore; a very special great-nephew and fishing buddy: Kanon Bratton; aunts and uncles: Evelyn Kite, Betty Franklin, Joyce and Clifford Lamb, Lloyd Ward, and Glenn and Pat Ward; and a host of special cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Jim Fain will officiate.
Family and friends are asked to gather at Doughty-Stevens at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to River Hill Cemetery for the 10 a.m. committal service.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Kite, Mickey Kite, John Bowman, Mike Cutshall, Phil Johnson and Glenn Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Weems, Dennis Murphy, Sammy Saulsbury, Dale Gregory, Eugene Johnson, Joe Johnson, Merle Sizemore and David Wills.
The family expressed their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of ICU at Greeneville Community Hospital East, the staff of Caris Healthcare, and Myra Johnson.
